Description:
The ACIP is a group of 15 health experts personally chosen by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health. The group has numerous duties, but mainly they serve as go to for information and possible courses of action for the Secretary and Assistant Secretary, as well as the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. The group also has it's own personal agendas as well.

Their second primary function outside of advising the HHS and CDC is to create recommendations for adminstering routine vaccines to the general population. These recommendations are thorough and contain essential information. This elite group is the only government entity that creates these recommendations.
