    • facultative
      • Is a biological term that describes a non compulsory process that has been coined for centuries. Facultative can reference multiple ideas, terms, or objects. Much like health information technology. Within HIT there is an abundance of information that can be used for a multitude of objectives. Facultative is a research term, and I believe that health informatics will prove to be a leader in the assistance in medical research. It is an essential part of improving the medical field, and to evolve the human race as it is currently known. There is a seemingly endless strain of knowledge that the scientific community hungers for. And with health informatics it makes the hunger all too real to satisfy with the ability to hold, and process all that information. Facultative has been an essential step in biological research because of its ability to be used in so many different ways. It can describe items from organisms that don't need oxygen to carnivores and plants. It is science, just like health informatics.
