Thermogenics Disclaimer: Thermogenics such as Hydroxycut and others are normally found to not be very well supported by research. In fact, in 2009 Hydroxycut was found to be linked to liver damage, rhabdomyolysis, and "at least one death." Many of these products, such as Hydroxycut were also found to partake in false advertising. Hydroxycut claimed it was a "clinically proven fat-burner," which it was not. It was also found to have no more effect than a placebo, besides the possibility of a slight appetite-suppressor. Hydroxycut was re-released after the company changed some of the ingredients, but still did not provide any clinical evidence that it actually supports muscle building and weight loss.
