Thermogenics such as Hydroxycut and others are normally found to not be very well supported by research. In fact, in 2009 Hydroxycut was found to be linked to liver damage, rhabdomyolysis, and "at least one death." Many of these products, such as Hydroxycut were also found to partake in false advertising. Hydroxycut claimed it was a "clinically proven fat-burner," which it was not. It was also found to have no more effect than a placebo, besides the possibility of a slight appetite-suppressor. Hydroxycut was re-released after the company changed some of the ingredients, but still did not provide any clinical evidence that it actually supports muscle building and weight loss.
Bodybuilding Applications are among the most popular today.
The rate at which your body metabolizes fat cells determines how slowly or how quickly you can gain or lose weight. Over the years people have tried many things to accelerate this process with some producing better results than others.
What is a thermogenic?
A thermogenic product is used to increase the heat in the body and in turn affect the body's metabolism and ability to burn fat.
Many people experience negative side effects using the highly stimulating commercial products on the market today but are desperate for results. These along with the high price tag on most of these products makes them less then attractive but seem to be our
only option in the never ending war against fat.
Thermogenic is commonly applied to drugs which increase heat through metabolic stimulation or to microorganisms which create heat within organic waste. Thermogenics are a class of supplements that work through a variety of methods to get your metabolism up. They are popular in many bodybuilding supplements where bodybuilders want to enhance their workouts, by boosting their muscle mass gains, and decreasing their fat levels. L-Carnitine is a popular thermogenic used for its ability to help increase metabolism as well as keep feelings of hunger to a minimum.
Supplementing with thermogenics has become a good way to go if you are looking for a short-term solution to monitoring your weight. Now we have several products that are on the market that are ephedra-free and still produced the same sort of quick short-term solution. As the growing demand for stimulant free products has increased the industry has continued to keep up, making sure that the menu of weight loss products hasn't been lost in the wave of going green, eating healthier and making overall better health choices.
Along with advancements in the actual compounds, new scientific breakthroughs have also brought the thermogenic enhancing capsules into the market place. These little power pellets have made the list of many a thermogenic review as companies and scientist explore what the best format for the capsule to take is. Some of the new revolutionary capsules are gel like, and contain formulas that are known to release over a 24 hour period, as opposed to instantaneous release. This prolonged duration means that you will be able to reap the benefits of some of the most advanced best thermogenics throughout every activity that you do during the day. Burning more calories through every step you take is going to put you all the more closer to seeing the results you want with your weight loss.
Protein also plays an important role in the thermogenic diet, because protein helps to control appetite. An individual consuming a diet low in protein and high in carbohydrates tend to snack more throughout the day than a person who consumes more protein and fewer carbohydrates. Protein is a main determinant of diet-induced thermogenesis by way of controlling body weight regulation through satiety, according to a study reported in "Nutrition and Metabolism" by Klaas R. Westerterp in 2004.
The above picture is an example of a man who at first had average muscle tone, but had a high fat percentage, which left him with a large gut and no vascularity in the arms or chest. In bodybuilding, vascularity is the condition of having many highly visible veins and “muscle tone”. The man in the image has an average amount of muscle; however, the only thing holding his dieting success back is the layers of fat he has on his torso subsequently covering his muscle. He used thermogenics and kept a high protein diet, which resulted in him losing pounds of body fat, and brought his Body Fat Percentage from the 15-20 percentile down to the 6-10 percentile. The loss of body fat, as well as the retention of muscle allowed this man to look better and feel better.
Thermogenics today are used mainly as fat burners as supplementation to workout regiment and healthy balanced diet so the body will process and burn fat quickly and efficiently. Besides, advancements in how fat works in the body, there have been major improvements in the area of providing the most optimum cellular environment to promote weight loss. Some thermogenics like Endourash by BSN incorporate fat blockers which actually work to make sure that your body does not process excess fat, but rather utilize the nutrition that it already has stored in the body. There are lots of healthy 'fat blockers' that naturally work at giving your body the necessary fats that you need for your digestive tract, while ensuring that there isn't extra fat going to your muscular infrastructure.
